Two quests down, one to go. A little too contrived and well, simplistic, for my tastes but it's well paced and some good characterization. The final challenge & mystery of the god himself awaits.

Things are picking up; Rasmina discovers allies out in the Wilds and makes progress in her seemingly impossible quest to kill a god (who clearly isn't one). The idea that NO ONE ever ventured beyond the confines of their village is kinda odd and feels forced, but it's not that improbable. Like most books nowadays characters are also LGBT- friendly.

Wasn't feeling it too much at first; seemed more focused on the idea of romance than telling the story. Rasmina was more intent on getting her first kiss from a boy than focusing on passing her battle test, even during the battle. But I gotta admit- didn't see that twist coming.

Goddamn- this book is fucking GOOD!!!

Have to say, this is one of the few books in about a year I've been excited to continue reading. Multi-layered, well-paced, detailed & intriguing- Fantasy hasn't been this good in a while!

Multi-layered and very interesting so far. Lots going on; a blend of enough details to tantalize and intrigue yet confuse you with the complexity & richness. Pretty good ride so far.

Decent attempts at weaving plot points & background info into the narrative don't offset the asspulls being thrown at you, adding confusion to a plodding tale.

Things have picked up & there's some characterization to build upon, but you still don't feel connected to any of it. Like the spirits in the story, you're detached & disconnected from it all.

Still not feeling any real connection to anyone or anything. It all feels like caricatures and sets being pushed in front of us- telling, not showing. Also not very interesting.

Ellandaise... is that anything like Bernaise? It's the world for English/European in this book. So far a bit confusing and kinda preachy. Trying too hard to pose Lu as the speshul princess.

79%, 50 chapters, 390 pages and I honestly can't remember the last time I saw or heard anything about a fucking snake person.

74% and all I'm getting is MIND-FUCKED! A lot!!!

70% and the first hint of a villain appears... FINALLY!!! This is even worse that the usual garbage!

Only thing of note is an appearance by Olaf. Other than that... pffft!!!

This won't come as a surprise to anyone, but I'm about a third of the way in and STILL NOTHING HAS FUCKING HAPPENED YET!!!

Almost 100 pages in and not a goddamn thing's happened yet! What the fuck, y'all?!?

I think I'm gonna start this one over and do a chapter flog. Got near the end and things really started annoying the hell out of me.

Lots of flowery, almost purple prose (...wet like the lick of an animal...) and the background as to what Themiscyra is and who the Amazons are and why they exist gets lost in it all. Book takes for granted that the reader is genre savvy regarding WW, and doesn't fully explain things (so far).

Still sifting through angst while waiting for the finale.

And now, the Third Act...

The Death Star laser is all but complete as events move towards the conclusion. Personal story arcs reach their apex as the story slows down a bit.

Galen is convinced by Orson while Lyra discovers the truth. Cruising towards the finale. Looks like a few typos still snuck in as some passages don't make much sense.

The noose tightens as Tarkin and Krennic make their moves trying to gain the advantage. Even knowing how it'll all play out, it's kinda interesting.
