This book is hitting all of my feels. I needed this. My therapist was right to assign it as homework. This isn’t just a book for those in recovery from alcohol or drug addiction — this books is for anyone needing to refine the art of surrender; anyone who finds themselves returning to destructive behaviors over and over again.

I’m loving this experience. I’ve never read a true crime book that included such a personal touch by the author, with personal narrative and connections to their own life and history.

So far, so good. I am only in so far as Amelia's teenage years. She just discovered her urge to fly.

I accidentally came across this book at Kroger pharmacy, looking for something simple to read while sick. Turns out, there's a whole series of these books written by a woman who is a foster parent in Britain. This book has so much in the story that is relatable to what we teach PATH parents about effective discipline and working with traumatized youth.

I only wish this book was longer! I'm dying to know more!

Really enjoying reading some of the old ghost stories. Learning a lot about Columbia and Maury County and developing a list of places to visit because of it!
