I really appreciate how the magic system is explained in this book. It's not just dumped at the beginning but shown in a ways that make sense and make easier to understand without being overwhelmed by all the information.

I love that Jakim’s story is reminiscent of Joseph’s. I’m looking forward to seeing how that plays out in book three.
