I don’t think I am getting everything here but what a brilliant narrative form. The novel is unputdownable.

Fantastic storytelling so far! Loving the footnotes too

Not digging the writing at all. The prose is too flat for me to sink into. Borderline bored reading the novel

This is my 5th Ishiguro Novel and also his weakest one. All those tricks that worked in The Remains of the day and A Pale View of Hills are on display but none of it works here.

Agnivyasa's dialogue with Drona on his death bed is written wonderfully well. 100 pages of Drona's coming of age is something I am going to remember for a long time.
