I am only two minutes in and already have thoughts. One is that I was going to be disappointed as this isn't narrarated by Ozzy himself. But he was a seventy year old man, and one pretty well known for his sometimes indecipherable to the common ear way of speaking.
The thought of hating this book went straight out of the window once the book started. Ozzys voice and words ring very true through this narrator.

I had to go back and restart this audiobook because it was in such high demand at my library and I never made the time to listen to it I forgot basically everything. I didn't forget how absolute fucking awful Ruby Franke is. She would flick her daughter in the lips for errors during piano practice. I wondered how badly that would hurt so I tried it on myself and my advice is DONT DO IT. It is surprisingly painful.

Every time the butler pushes the crippled and mute lord of the manor into a corner, facing a wall, or under the staircase I can't help but laugh. I really enjoy our bitter mean old pill of a main character and his butlers absolute disdain towards him.

Wow, just wow. I dnf'd Hope, a memoir of survival in Cleveland and opted for this account instead. I definitely made the right choice.

I'm at the halfway mark and I really need for something interesting to happen before this gets a one star rating. There is just so much walking around the streets and screaming.

Um.....there is a scene where a braid is described as "muscly", and the couple discuss not wanting to sit in a diarrhea pool unless the shit came from kids under the age of consent. I ...um...pardon me, what the fuck?

This was recommended to me from a new friend who gave me her copy and said "From one person with a terrible mother in law to another". That shot it immediately to the top of my TBR pile.

I am finally tackling Baby Teeth, many many years after being ecstatic to finally get a copy and then immediately losing interest. I know that this book was big hyped up when it first came out, but reading the reviews and a little bit myself, I feel like shit is going to get real weird before or if it gets creepy.
Zoje Stage writes 4 year old Hanna like a 35 year old in a diaper doing a cringe 2000s youtube skit.

All of the characters are so well fleshed out and this story feels like one that I could actually imagine some poor family and community of people going through. Jemmas perspective is very well written and she feels like any other 16 year old girl, albeit one who cannot verbally or physically communicate.

So far I am loving this. I was fully engrossed from the second page onward.

I am only 7 pages in and have so many questions! I have a really good feeling about this book. It reminds me of Everything is fine by Mike Birchall.

If spooky things are happening in my house, I would install cameras instead of allowing myself to be freaked out by the unknown. In the words of Patrick Star, "We have technology."

I am still waiting for the other shoe to drop, but so far I actually really love Caroline and Ted as parents and people. Mitzi is also a funny loud mouth addition to the neighborhood, but her blatant racism is noted.

The author just keeps describing moths as slimy. Does he not know what a moth is?

I am having the time of my life reading this book, I read half of it in one sitting. I'm going to try to kill it off today.

Okay so chapter ten immediately opens with a little history lesson about the racial divide in Chicago. I'm digging this, lets see where it goes.

I am going to have to keep reminding myself that this book was written in 2004 because the amount of casual derogatory name calling is very present. This is a work of its time, aimed at a particular subset of people, and I understand that. But one of our protagonists is a 17 year old girl trying to get "devirginified" by a white supremacist. The story itself has me curious so fingers crossed that I like it.

This reads similarly to Temporary by Hilary Leichter. The humor is pretty absurd, coming straight from left field, its interesting. Although I am not exactly fully enthralled by the story just yet, I am committed to finding out what else happens. So far it's feeling like a 3 star book.

This is the first Chuck Palahniuk book that I am ever reading, and I've owned it for a decade. I am really unsure how I will be rating this one.

So far I've really enjoyed this book. With 39 pages left I still have two big questions that are unanswered. Fingers crossed that the conclusion is stellar!

The first couple of pages really struggled to keep me interested, as the writing felt too spot on. Both of our main characters, Rose Gold and Patty feel like caricatures. Now that I'm 78 pages in I can safely say that the story has fully pulled me in. I'm sure this has been used to unoriginally describe a million books, but Darling Rose Gold is compulsively readable. Where the fuck is this all going?

Li Fan seemed to be very impactful for some people because of the reverse order that the story is told in. For me it was just very confusing while reading, and I didn't catch on until the second to last paragraph. Then after I had caught on it just made me confused and a toddlers level of grumpy. I didn't like the story at all because of this one single thing.

Story one, Unknown by unknown started off very strong and then fell flat on its face in the last two pages. I thought that there was going to be a very strong reveal, and instead I was just left wondering what I was supposed to do with all of these pieces of a story that were given to me. 1.5/5

I just aggressively binged Leslie Fucking Jones memoir because of a library waitlist. This is another high demand waitlist book that I finally have and 15 other people want. Let the binge begin!

At almost seventeen hours, this is hands down the biggest audiobook that I have ever listened to. It's definitely worth the time investment.

I've been waiting for this book from my library for so long, I was 14th in line. And now I finally got my little paws on it, and I get why everyone is clamoring to get a copy. So far it's so good! A little flowery in the story telling, but I get that Shari is setting a scene.

Right off the bat let me say, we need to stop letting Old men writing for teenage girls. This reads like the script for Tommy Wiseaus The Room. It is laughably cringe, which is why I am choosing to keep reading it. Every sentence is a run on one. I have no idea what the plot is going to be as this book has a trillion NPCS basically bumping into one another, and eating froyo.
