I didn't know this was a sequel, I definitely feel like I'm missing something. Starting to get into the flow now.

And she can't make herself care about Lucas because she has been "burned by him before"--a total miscommunication that could be cleared up with a single conversation. Nothing he has done in the past YEAR has proved to her that maybe a mistake was made?

I've about had enough of Izzy. Who leaves in the middle of sex to take a long phone call with a friend? And then wonders why Lucas leaves? She is totally clueless and full of herself.

This book is so frustrating because I cannot figure out or picture where she is. There is no way she is in the Mediterranean.

I cannot figure out where they are. Supposedly they were in an Italian marina, so they are in the Mediterranean? Why are there no other boats? There are hundreds of cruise ships in the Med. Why is the company not looking for their boat? Plus, is it ever freezing in the Med? I highly doubt it.

I hate Julie.

Not buying that eating wheat germ when gluten intolerant would cause such severe symptoms.

I never DNF but I just might. This did not start well for me. The idea that Ben wants to find a man for Harper before he dies because he "wants someone to take care of" her and he wants to see her find happiness...GAG. Like she has no agency to make decisions for herself? Like she isn't going to be grieving? NOPE

This was a cute story until she started keeping secrets. Not a fan.

I just can't with these books where the couple has had a strong, committed relationship for years and then one of them turns out to be such a terrible person you wonder if their partner is blind or stupid.

Someone tell me how this narrator can be so omniscient? I'm having a difficult time getting past how he can know what everyone is thinking and doing at the same time.

Eh...she's a bit better but still horribly immature and terrible decision maker. Who kisses someone "involuntarily" Ick.

Slowly plugging away at this book. It's very complex but totally keeping my interest.

So bizarrely I received a book today from Amazon. 1. I follow the author on social media and have been interested in her book but 2. It was not on my Amazon wish list 3. The package had my address on it but no name. 4. There was a receipt included saying when the book was ordered (last week) and that it was paid for with a credit card and they paid full price. SO WEIRD

I see what people mean--this is very difficult to read on Kindle. Can't zoom into certain things and they are either very light or very tiny or both. Text conversations, "Reddit" posts, news articles, etc. The book is cleverly presented but I'd get a print copy or possibly an audio copy.

Another reviewer said that this is obviously based on Miranda Priestly (from The Devil Wears Prada) and I say no way. It is 100% Rachel Hollis, everything about it screams Rachel and the clincher is that the author used to work for her.

The quickest way to get unfriended and blocked by me is to send me a private message asking how I'm doing today. I try to weed out the creepers before accepting friend requests, but sometimes (like today) one gets through. People wonder why I'm so picky with my friendship question, it's because otherwise my DMs would be filled with creepers.

There is NO WAY a hotel would give someone's room number out to a random person who calls.

This should have been called A Toxic Love Story!

Bookish pet peeve: don't tell me your book is a psychological thriller/suspense/mystery and then throw in supernatural/paranormal things. If you want to go that way, fine, but let me know and don't force me to figure it out on my own. You may think it's a clever plot twist but trust me, it's been done before and it makes readers like me angry.

Hope something actually happens soon because right now I am bored

Anyone else get home from vacation to a few dozen friend requests from men with two first names? Just me?
