Someone tell me how this narrator can be so omniscient? I'm having a difficult time getting past how he can know what everyone is thinking and doing at the same time.

Probably because he has a big blue version of the 'Eye of Sauron' and the evil eye on the cover is how it looks! :P

I was thinking the same thing, but (at least in my ARC from netgalley), I felt it was explained in the end.

I dunno, but after The Silent Patient I will never read this author again. It was so bad I didn’t think he deserves a second chance. Hope this one is better for you. lol
