This author picks the most ridiculous names for every character. Every time I hear a new one, it jolts me out of the story.

Strongly considering a DNF

The leads have finally met. Nearly halfway through the book 🙃 it’s gonna take a lot
To turn this one around.

This present tense third person narrative was a terrible story telling choice. It’s driving me nuts.

“Tori, asking questions right now could get you killed” Tori proceeds to ask a million questions.

“Tori stay here” Tori proceeds to follow.

Why did Annette Marie write this girl so annoyingly

I’m surprised a book that was published in 2022 has a 29 yo spiraling about not being married yet to the point that she is going to “marry herself” in a special ceremony.

I’m obsessed.

Two annoying people that deserve each other.

This has been a cute one so far. But Cordelia is such a caricature of a southern belle it’s a little nauseating.

Win and Pop pop and the cat the only sane creatures in this entire town.

Win is the only non-weirdo in her own life other than her pop pop. Everyone else is so high strung. And MAISIE. I hate this character with a passion. Nobody is this TSTL.

Win feels like the only sane person in this whole book. Her friends are particularly weird and I’m so confused why she’s friends with them.
