Lucinda is on page 100 of 334 of Her Daughter
This book is a great example of how one spouse can abuse the other by turning their child against them. In this case, the daughter might not believe all she’s been told.

This is a very important book for anyone living with or has a boss or co-worker who is a psychologically abusive person. It comes out in January 2026. I highly recommend it.

I forgot to add this book while I was on vacation. It's by one of my Story-Power podcast guests and I loved it. I hope she writes a sequel or prequel to the book. The world building and characterizations are wonderful.

I'm listening to the audiobook. I like the narrator very much, but I'm not used to audiobooks. Since we play quiet sounds when we sleep, I can only listen to a couple of chapters a night. The structure of the book is interesting.

I loved the mini-series and I loved the book. They aren't exactly the same, but the mini-series captured the themes of the book, which to my mind is always a good thing. After all they are two different mediums.

Karen's memoir is full of love, drama, pain and suffering, and self-reflection. Though these are elements of most of our lives, Karen's life journey is unique and affecting. I don't know about you, but I love learning about other people's experiences so I can learn more about my own.

I love that Maria Grace wrote this little prequel novella for the World Wrights series. I love the Birdy character and her relationship with Rebecca. They now have a backstory.

Lucinda is finished with The Dead Rock Stars: A Novel
The Dead Rock Stars is by two of my Story-Power podcast guests, Jay Watson and Kyle Wiltshire. It's a fun story with lots of "dead" rock stars acting as secret agents trying to save the world from the Y2K threat as the new Century approaches. They left it open for a sequel and I hope they write it. I highly recommend this book.

I have not been good at progress postings. I wasn't sure I wanted to finish this book at first. it took almost half way through before I felt full invested. But in the end the story was engaging. The author left space for a sequel and I'll read it if she publishes one. This one had lots of world building to do, the next one should have lots of fun with the characters.

I have mixed feelings about this book. It has a great theme and important things to say about the abuse women suffer and how they feel about it and deal with it. However, it didn't feel to me as if anything go resolved.
