I wasn't going to read this since I was so disappointed in Go Set A Watchman, but my library had it on hand and I saw a couple of decent reviews, so I'll give it a whirl.

First read this series over 25 years ago.

Aaaah! A great read to settle into. I've been needing this.

This is going to be a slow read, as I intend to sit on my porch in this beautiful Spring weather, wishing that my backyard could look like these places. The introduction begins by talking about Elizabeth von Arnim, one of my favorite authors.

I wasn't sure I'd like this, but the first story was charming and different.

I finished Childhood, and rate it 4 stars, but she is a very intense writer, so I'm putting this on hold for now. I will be back.

Might not have been the best idea to start this book just as hurricane season starts around here, but I had a hard time putting it down yesterday.

This book is addictive and brilliant! And I've just begun.

You know you've lost it when you read a NYT book review, then say to yourself, "I need to check friends reviews on GR first". Thank goodness for GR!

Is anybody else having their news feeds inundated with GR recommendations? I've been getting a few of them all along, but suddenly my entire update feed is filled up with them. It's annoying!

I am going to see David Sedaris tonight! He's giving a performance/reading at the new Galliard Center tonight in downtown Charleston. Dinner out with friends beforehand. Here's to literary fun, all you book geeks know what I mean!
