The book was like „ X% of Women change their routes/plans to avoid certain areas/bus lines etc when out alone at night” and I was just like
Yeah? No shit?
And now Im like oooops, yeah, it shouldn’t be that way
But it’s so normalised, it didn’t even feel like a negative thing at first. Just like a fact of life

Crazy how much nicer the writing flows in this book compared to the series I read before. Very lovely, evocative descriptions without being too on the nose or too much & no unnecessary repetitions!

Still enjoying it very much, I also really like the speaker of the audiobook! Very nice voice & nice to listen to & I love all the other magical creatures popping up now!

Let’s go plant drama! Didn’t think I’d ever say that lol
But I love having sentient plants as characters!

Love that we not only have a winged cat, but also a talking rose now lol

Girlypop is shocked when some arrogant, violent and shitty bro does what a bro like him does lol
And with that, I’m dropping this book, am not having a lot of fun rn and the narrator is honestly not that great. A little grating and a little to formal in German

Bought it and then realised it’s kinda the second book of a series, but I’m still gonna read it.
It’s such a pretty edition with painted edges 😍

Reading Olympics-Romance now bc where else do I get my daily dose of Olympia 😅

Finally finished it! I actually quite enjoyed the book, but sometimes the characters seemed a little dense

How fascinating that you can just abandon your entire ships crew without paying them, or for their food or water or fuel or ANYTHING.
How is that legal that you just strand them somewhere and they have to beg for basic food and clean water, bc the company just doesn’t want to pay them??

If I weren't already vegetarian, this chapter definitely would’ve made me stop eating any sort of fish. Apart from, ya know, eating any sort animal, the mistreatment and sexual harassment, the working conditions described on the fishing boat, just makes you not wanna support that industry in any way at all. I feel for all the people who believe it’s their only way to get a job, I hope things have changed a bit by now
