Albert’s dream was to rid of war throughout the world.

I predict that in the future, while it would be hard, Albert would make a difference in the world with his theories.

Albert’s new job at the patent office turned out to be far better than he thought.

The most important word so far is ragged because it described his life during hard times before all his future accomplishments.

When thinking about gravity and movement, most of us think of Isaac Newton.

My favorite character is Albert Einstein because in the book, it states that he was the first one to discover the limits of Newton’s discoveries.

Halley’s Comet was discovered and predicted by Isaac Newton.

The title, Who Was Isaac Newton, fits in because this book tells everything about his life, accomplishments, and legacy.

The plague closed down the university and Newton had to return home.

One conflict in the book is that the plague made the university shut down temporarily and everyone had to stop working/studying, and leave.

Many brave soldiers fought back against the attack, or risked their lives to save others.

I predict that in the future, the United States is going to be more alert when it comes to their defense.

Within the climax of the attack, leaking oil caught fire and caused explosions.

I found interesting that before the attack, a soldier wrote to home that you don’t have to worry because a battleship is as safe as a fleet, because it was very coincidental that later on, the battleship would be bombed and destroyed, exactly the opposite of what he thought.

The Japanese were preparing and setting off to attack Pearl Harbor.

The most important (one of) word was agreement. It is the most important because it was the part of the reason the Japanese entered the war, and part of the reason why Japan and America became enemies, leading to Pearl Harbor.

While it may seem that it was easy to find gold, most miners didn’t earn the plentiful amount most people thought of.
The miners generally were sneaky and desperate because their families were depending on them to return home rich and not many became so.
Miners would often cheat, steal, or murder to gain gold for themselves.

Many made the trip west in the spring of 1849 to San Francisco.

The readers should take away that the California Gold Rush was more than just a gold rush; it included important details you would never have thought of. The California Gold Rush was important because it spread the population of the U.S. out, and brought people to the West Coast.

Many believed that San Francisco would never recover from the earthquake, however, it did.
This book is historical fiction because it takes place during the time of the San Francisco earthquake, an actual historical event and has made-up characters (Leo, Morris) taking place with made-up actions and problems.

Everyone in San Francisco knows about the amount of earthquakes that occur.
How was the San Francisco earthquake measured back then?
How did people back then, prepare and predict earthquakes?

Leo and Wilkie are about to rush into the fire to save Morris.

Morris is the most interesting character because the way Leo describes him initially seems annoying, however, in the end, he is not what he is described as. When you actually learn him, he is a kind, caring character.

Leo (the main character) thought about how he would get his gold nugget back, “And sure enough, sometime in the middle of the night, Leo had come up with a plan.” (Page 27) This quote was significant because it told the reader that the main character somehow was going to get his gold nugget from a thief, hinting towards disguise from earlier. The whole first part of the book was about how significant the gold was.

Austin L. is reading Five Epic Disasters (I Survived True Stories, #1)
The author visits the survivors of the Henryville Tornado to interview.
The book is written in nonfiction. The way the author chose to write the book is in a story-information sequence. A true story about one or more’s perspective would be first, then true files and facts relating to the disaster would occur. I like that I experience the story first, then I get extra info. I dislike how some info is off topic.

The Henryville tornadoes have just ended, leaving a path of destruction behind.

I predict that after the tornado, everyone will come out of their shelters, find their loved ones, and start putting everything in their life back together.

The Japanese Earthquake has just struck and students are in action.

One thing I would change in the book is the tsunami wall size in Japan, changing it from about 10 feet to about 30 feet.

Story #2: The man technically blamed for the crash of the Titanic is in hiding from the thousands of angry people.
I think the title of the book matches what the book provides because there isn’t necessarily one overlapping story. However, I feel the author could have done a better job creating a more creative or entertaining title. An example is The Adventures of Five (or more) Survivors, from Tsunamis to Tornadoes!

There are many words and phrases that only exist in baseball, which may be literate, figurative, and descriptive.
In order to play baseball, you have to be intelligent because observing your signs, the motions, the placements, and the events occurring is crucial.

How would this information be gathered without the use of written or typed documents?
What are the major differences between modern day and old time baseball games?

This book is comparing a modern day great against an old time great. (Baseball) The setting is the world of baseball and it takes place from now to the past around 100 years. It affects the plot because it provides a place for the author to talk about baseball.

My prediction is that it will be difficult, yet possible to break any of these historical records.

Abraham Lincoln has just died from the bullet wound, and John Wilkes Booth, the guy who shot him, is safely hidden for now.

John Wilkes Booth is vengeful. When the Union army had basically defeated the Confederacy army (his), he wanted to get revenge. He came up with a plan to murder the Lincoln (Union leader) and at Ford’s theater, weeks later, he successfully did so. This event shows vengefulness from Booth.
