This book is just so bad on every level. Even worse than I thought. The spicey scenes are cringey, and the at-each-other's-throats to lustful obsession relationship development is unbelievable at best, and reads like the author just wanted to paste together a bunch of tropes.

Reads (and the art also looks like) it may have been written by AI. Less of a story and more of a floral, anthropomorphized description of a well-loved pet kitten.

Trying to get better at French listening comprehension, so challenging myself with something I haven't read before (in any mode or in any language). Listening to every chapter 3x for maximum comprehension, and it does help - I pick up additional words every time. There's already been a racial slur, unfortunately (I really doubted that I was hearing it right!) so I suspect this book is a product of its time.
