So excited to crack into this Audible audio, being up there as one of the best fantasy books I've read the last few years.

And very helpfully the author wrote an "interlude" chapter as a refresher, but in such a way that it was seamless with the story. More authors need to do this for epic fantasy series.

It's a fascinating process to read this book 20 years after the first time/s. It could've used a bit of editing, & now I have more fantasy books under my belt I see so many nods to other stories ("tropes" I guess as well). But it's still a fun, enjoyable read.
