I generally enjoy these novellas, some more than others. This is #10, & the opening feels like it won't be a fave but the fantasy component has only just kicked in.

The author always focuses on diversity & representation, but it does feel shoe horned in sometimes. This may also be because the style of writing feels more tween than young adult, so possibly a bit "young" for my palette now. But only 4h audiobook!
