Typical suburban housewife whodunnit but I hope it has some jostling spins
Narrator does a great job

This is an extremely fun book so far. Lots of crazy plots that are slightly far fetched but not too much so it’s a good balance. Author has a humorous writing style and good one liners without them being forced. I’m so glad to read this, fun summer read especially to take my mind off my job!

The drama. I love it. Being young is so messy ; I’m so glad it’s not my life anymore and miss it all at the same time.

This book switches POV a lot and I don’t realize it. It’s not good. Only finishing cause it’s short. There’s like some ideas it sits on but it’s just too flimsy.

1. I’m glad I’m reading this on audiobook due to the importance of language and naming things in the various languages and hearing it properly pronounced.
2. I’m very lost on what this is about a quarter in besides architecture. It’s very much stream of consciousness often.
3. It’s a short audiobook so I’ll deal with it

What a tale so far

Lots of characters. Character list very necessary. Enjoying the writing style, perfect mix of classical writing without being too elaborate and hard to comprehend but beautiful and artistic. The plot is intriguing I love multigenerational novels.

Reading the E-book. So far I’m enjoying a 50 year old woman discussing aging, refreshing

This is such a good buddy read with Yesteryear

I like Emma Straubs writing style and the plot on this is perfect. Character is well formed and themes align well for the story development. I’m excited to see where this one goes.

I wish I wouldn’t have read King of Ashes recently cause I’m comparing them and this one isn’t as good, but it’s still good. Hella violent as usual tho so I’m not sure I’m in the mood but it’s a book club pick

Very defined characters

I listened to this as I stripped my mirror of paint and I think the fumes didn’t allow me to follow 100% but I got the gist so far. However I’m worried I didn’t follow as closely as needed to get the depths of this novel in the beginning that’s needed. Guess we will find out

Multiple POV and Danika is a BITCH but there’s moments I get where she’s coming from.

As someone who lives in Minnesota, especially the West Metro, this book has been very fun. The writing style at first seemed plain language, not very sophisticated. But as it’s progressed it’s gotten better and the story keeps evolving. It’s very juicy

Being this far into the book I thought I’d feel more plot but I do like the characters. It doesn’t feel like a character-led novel tho so it kinda throws me off.. you ever reading like what’s supposed to be going on? But you also know what’s going on. Hard to describe lol

I’m enjoying the characters. Plot is there but not riveting but I have a feeling it’s going to come together and take off and be exciting
