Fascinating so far

Looking for better resources on this topic for counseling. So far this is great (better than Lambert’s Finally Free). Yet, I’ve got some concerns with Rigney’s explanation of the higher faculties and lower faculties regarding anthropology/psychology. I think instead of a hierarchical set of faculties, something like a holistic trisperspectivalism is closer to a biblical anthropology. Still, a very good book.

Learning all of Dooyeweerd’s technical language has been a challenge; a very rewarding read nonetheless.

Really happy to be back in this book after a short break. One of the most important books I’ve ever read making sense of our world and our modern ideological idols.

Holy smokes. If you really want to understand how far our culture is from genuine Christian values (even back in 2007), you should read this.

The Body Keeps the Score? Apparently not! Very thankful we’ve got folks pushing back against phony psychology and reminding us that we’re made to be resilient.

I wish this book used footnotes instead of endnotes
