I read the first one 2 years ago. I went back and read my review and noted I wasn't greatly impressed and found it average. I have determined I should continue on it the series. Sometimes a series grows as you progress.

I want to like this but in the first two pages I found a major mistake! The narrator talks about her mother enduring injections of 30ccs of botox into her forehead! 30CCS!!!!!! I only assume she means 30 units. I wish authors would just take a moment to ask an expert about medical questions. I would be happy to assist!

This book is going to be hard to read. It is the size of a small car and weighs just as much! It is hard to hold it up to read, esp. reading in bed.

This may be slow going. I am reading the paperback. It is huge and awkward to hold while reading!

I am glad to finally be reading a book with some meat to it! The last few books have been very disappointing and my ratings show this! Abercrombie is a master story teller.
