This book is nothing like I expected. I had ideas from the title (rent boy, porn star) and then I had ideas once I began the story. Again...wrong. Very entertaining so far. Based on what the MC has alluded to, I am curious to see how things unfold.

Original, engaging and a total train wreck. The h is fucked up. but she is not annoying, and I connect and sympathize with her. I know what is going to happen, based on the prologue, but getting there is just...OMG! I really hope this author can follow through. I have high expectations now.

Not sure what to think of Sawyer. He seems like such an irresponsible ass I cannot see how he can redeem himself.

Started off well, but it looks like this is going to be a book filled with cryptic remarks about the life the h is running from. Sooooo overdone... Early on the mystery was intriguing and it hooked me to want to know more, but, damn, if you aren't going to share the secrets with the reader then stop mentioning shit about them. It's annoying and it doesn't make for good filler.

I'm liking so far. So glad that we know what has happened to the h early on. No cryptic remarks, veiled hints or inner monologues lamenting about what has happened as the reader is kept in the dark. Thank goodness.

Very strong start. I hope it continues. I like all the different character perspectives given. Well done. I am already guessing at some of the things that may happen. I didn't realize this was the author that wrote A Different Blue until just now. Feeling better about my reading experience.

I have to admit, I have had this book for a very long time and for some reason I have it in my mind that this will be a long, tedious read. Man, I hope I am wrong. Fingers crossed!

Um...um. Why has no one taught Evan street walker/hooker etiquette? You DO NOT kiss her on her mouth, especially after her pimp tells you you have to wait to pick her up because she is in the alley giving head. You don't bring her to your bed, but, damn, if you do please make her shower first. And OMG you DO NOT PUT YOUR MOUTH ON HER PUSSY. EVER! WTF? Plus, she is annoying. She will be his downfall. Watch!

The shit has hit the fan. Lol. Not really, but Shay Savage has impressed me by not shying away from what Evan truly does.

I am still liking Evan's narration but unsure if I'm liking his new affinity for Bridgett. Lol. I am still hoping for him to reconnect with Lia somehow. Hmm...

What has happened to this h? She is completely unrecognizable. He fights to continue seeing her and she gets it in her head that same day that he doesn't really "like" her. Now he has to cancel plans because of important business, that she is aware of btw, and she whines that this cancellation demonstrates that he isn't serious about her. Sheesh. Is this what I have to look forward to during the rest of my reading?

This book started really well. But now it's like the h has lost a lot of her appeal. She is coming across as a little too naive and dramatic (too many mouth covering moments) , their road trip was boring and their attempt at bonding/sharing seems forced. I'm no longer connecting.

The beginning was pretty predictable and I think I know where the rest of the story is headed. I am going to write it here just for own curiosity, to see if I am correct. <spoiler>Gabby will begin to date Dane but develop a deep friendship with Brad. Eventually she will have to choose between the two and she will, of course, choose good guy Brad.</spoiler> If I am correct I hope the delivery and path are great.

I am at almost 2500 locations. This book is so entertaining. It starts when the characters are young (5th & 6th grade) and Bella has just moved to the area. Now Bella is 13.I thought the beginning would drag. Nope. Not at all. I am totally immersed and completely on edge because I have no idea what's coming next. I love the writing and I don't Twilight at all even with the names as they are.

For some reason I am not able to connect with Olivia. Not during the scenes from the past and certainly not from anything presently happening. She is coming across as cold, stoic and heartless. I am unable to capture the intrigue I felt for her in Book 1. Maybe too much distance. Hmm...

Let the games begin. ..

Although the beginning was predictable, nothing else has been. I like where this story is, and love that I have no idea where it is going.

It has started well but from the prologue and first chapter I have an idea of where it's going. Makes me hesitant. LOVED that she is mentioning Sea of Tranquility because I just read that book and loved it. Especially the last two words. Sigh...

I spoke too soon. The book picked up when the h was delivered to the H's room for the purpose of being seduced. Nice. Much better now. Hope this high continues.

It's taking me a minute to get into this. I hope it picks up.

Not as good as I was hoping. The dialogue between the H and o/women is stiff and unbelievable. The H's inner thoughts are like a teenage girls. Insecure ramblings. I like a needy, desperate man but Man is the operative word. No way do I believe his are the thoughts of a 34 yo man. And is she 30 or 18? Reads like so many other NA books. So much mention of this damn secret. It better be fucking HUGE. Again, sheesh.

The beginning started strong. I was curious about the characters and where the story would lead. There are some issues with the author switching between past and present tense. As the book moved along the inner monologue does not read as if he is 34 and she is almost 30. They sound like they're in their very early 20's. He is the one with a secret and now damn near all of his inner monologue is him obsessing. Sheesh.

Gosh! I am so tired of the bulk of this story being internal dialogue expressing the H's desperation and regret. And what's up with him being with this chick for a week and him leaving her is the most painful, regretful, guilt ridden thing that has ever happened to him? I need more story and less repetitive whining. This seems to be a trend in too many NA books. UGH! Hope it gets better.

Disappointed. The confrontation that I was looking forward to was meh, so blah, it fell completely flat. I still fell a disconnect between the characters and have no idea why they are attracted to one another. I certainly don't feel the pull.

So annoyed. Another "secret" that has to be alluded to every 3 minutes so we can truly fucking understand that she is damaged. UGH! Awkward dialogue, switching from past to present tense. Not starting off good. At. All.

I am beginning to enjoy the book more...slightly. There is more character interaction but I wish there was more reaction/response when something "dramatic" happens. I like a bit more drama in my books and instead of just saying that words sent a chill through the room or someone was frightened by something that happened perhaps show us how others are affected by what is happening.

I am STRUGGLING. The story is good and if told better I would be all in but the book is written so passively that even the "action" scenes are bland. I mean the Others are awesome so nothing about them should be flat. There should be so much fierceness in this book so much fear and uncertainty.

Plus, the h is coming across as a can do no wrong, Pollyanna innocent. Not buying that all her "missteps" are endearing
