This is a very complex narrative but I think the problem for me is that no one is likeable. We’re getting all sides of this falling out. But everyone is terrible. So I feel like there’s no one to root for. Which I think is the point. But also ….?

It felt like a place she had lived once but no longer belonged.

This felt very debut and I have some question but I really enjoyed it and am excited to read the rest of the series. Glad we'll get different narrators for the other books as one didn't work super well for me here. I think calling this a slow burn was generous since imo they hook up pretty quickly but it was fun and the dual pov worked really well.

Dropping in a lot of characters so I’m curious to see how that shakes out across the series too because right now it feels like they’re not going to show up at all which seems like a waste. Or maybe like the book was written before the rest of the series was ideated?

I still hate the audiobook narrator for Lucy but this is fun. I’m confused why Ursula got book two instead of Callie but will see if it makes sense when we get there.

It’s bothering me more than I’d care to admit that we have four witches but only 3 books.

Fantastic sequel. Can’t wait for book three. Curious what the final act means for everyone. Will Ley get a redemption arc? Will Rae? Does Lia even deserve one? What happens with Marius and Eric? Especially when Merel’s true identity comes out??

This comes close to a plot hole because what do you mean she missed it was Key????
