#AskMissPatience is on page 78 of 267 of Stop, in the Name of God: Why Honoring the Sabbath Will Transform Your Life
“To keep the Sabbath in an age of frenzy is to declare this with your body and time: I am not my own. I am not a machine. I will rest, because God rested. I will remember, because He remembered me.

Let the world race on.

But as for me and my house -we will stop.”

Upon reading reviews on the book, see not everyone read it. Not everyone wants to see this is a paramount structure to our highest benefit.

It is:)

Most of the second chapter was about what makes God plausible as the creator via factors including math equations and science debate. Books like Steven Meyers Return of the God Hypothesis weigh in heavy here. What makes an atheist argument mute based on aspects like creation and its design explained via scientific quantifiable details. I don’t need convincing, but if I did the details within are solid, in my view

Part three is fun. Though the book is designed to support thinking differently, third section has a dialogue. A grandpa and girl. Remind’s me of the show Kung Fu. Zen master and student. Broken into bites connected to the meaning of the manual. How people are indoctrinated using words. Psyops and control. Chase Hughes is a gem. Though the book feels odd at first, am enjoying decoding perception w/ exercises. Fun

Wow … there’s so much to digest. I’ve read a LOT of books. This is vibing like a soon to be favorite. Reading on Saturdays, one chapter at a time, before church. In symbolic homage to being a better steward of rest and revitalization. In preparation for a full year. Plus, gifting a copy today as a surprise to someone who planned to read it. Thinking of offering to start a winter book club of faith based books

Prayer suggestion day 13, “And, now what wait I for?” The OG written style flows like reverent commentary I thoroughly enjoy. This prayer in particular builds comfort within long suffering or enthusiasm of anticipation. Like Heb 11 folk waited as though they receive glory days.

Free pdf’s of the 31 day book or Archive.org has a free copy and many other books, movies, vintage content converted for our use.

#AskMissPatience is 16% done with The Land of Sweet Forever: Stories and Essays
Book filled with a handful of short stories found with personal effects. The intro shares bits about Ms Harper that add a unique quality to this collection. Glad to discover this surprise treat.

Fun fact learned, she lived at 1539 York avenue in NYC where she paid $20 for five years to live. Wrote To Kill a Mockingbird and Go Set a Watchman here. How cool. Had no idea

Sigh, each day Waiting in God gets better.

I convert this PDF using speechify and choose the voice of a guy who sounds like a professor from the UK who teaches at Oxford or maybe how I imagine CS Lewis sounding.

As a man’s heart is, so is he before God. We can advance no further over deeper into the holy place of Gods presence to wait on Him there, than our heart is prepared for it by the Holy Spirit. Cease from thoughts. Put no trust in them. Wake up in the heart to open itself to Gos, and seek the living fellowship with Him. Remember the difference between knowing with the mind and believing with the heart. 😊

Give your whole heart, with its secret workings, into God’s hands continually. He wants the heart, and takes it, and, as God, dwells in it. “Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all ye that wait on the Lord.”

“My soul, wait thou only upon God!”

Found PDF of my print book online to create an audio on Speechify. Enjoy listing using Rupert’s UK voice over. Like a vintage BCC classic 😊
