i have reached the final section. i don’t know what this book is about (in entirety) but it has good quotes. 4 stars

i started the day on page 86 (haven’t been tracking over the past week) and now i’m on 223. i was just trying to make it halfway (157) which seemed impossible. now i have less than 100 pages left. reading is weird. willpower in weird.

just started. the prose is simple so it is quick read but i might get bogged down by the philosophy. its making my brain hurt

read a VERY graphic sex scene (the word cock was used) on the bus this morning so i’m definitely awake. never thought that would happen lol but now i know i have no shame 🤗

never got the chance to properly celebrate halfway (210 pages!) cause goodreads is counting the 20 pages of sample chapter for another work. and now i’m 100 pages past that! 98 pages until im done with the book! it will get finished and i read so much today!

i’m not done reading in this session but something is really bothering me. first there was a statement about the characters meetings (about how they hadn’t seen e/o in days) that was wrong and now there’s a not common saying being used by two different pov characters. has she lost her plot?! lol

i will finish this book, i don’t care how much of a struggle it is. the plot is picking up but it’s been moving very slowly and i kinda just want these two people to kiss already. don’t they read the same pages i do?! lol. also i hate men too much cause this male pov is killing me😭

not much progress, i just wanted to make a note of a thought that i had. in the first chapter, at the cafe, there was mention of a local celebrity and we just discovered that lucie’s friend owns the cafe. so i think the local celebrity is gonna be a love interest. our foil.

i’m not sure this book has an understanding of virality or social media and it’s making me mad. whatever. so glad i didn’t buy it

at the first paragraph break. the book is sad but mostly too dense to make me cry. very reflective. trying to see if there’s a narrative purpose to the metaphors or if it’s because he’s poetic

not sure how much i’ll read tonight, didn’t even realize that i’d just read so much in one burst. henry is sharing his story and i’m intrigued while also trying to get through it cause it’s kinda meh. also i think he’s dying in 6 months so this will be a mess!

just finished part iii and that part i had skimmed to. this book is hard to put down cause the chapters are so short. forget to mention that this feels like a metaphor for not killing yourself, not subtle if i can pick up on it. lots of who hah about art and leaving a mark
