Got a great start on this book on my way to see my cousin Paul. Thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book. Made the trip fly by!

My dad gave me this as an audiobook years ago. He even gave our son Joel his deep thoughts on the book. (I hope he still has those notes)

This time I read the book and took notes on the philosophers. A reading bucket list item is to read about them.

Find it interesting how history treats people. In my mind Andrew Johnson was a terrible president. But, like many southern leaders, he stayed true to who he was.

Felt the author was very fair to him in his writing.

I'm looking forward to my next presidential biography on Grant!

So I guess I’m just a big kid. Enjoyed the fantasy journey. Looking forward to the second book.
