আমি কোনো বই পড়া শুরু করি রিডিং লিস্ট থেকে দৈবচয়ন ভিত্তিতে। অধিকাংশ সময় দেখা যায় সমকালীন বাস্তবতা বা মনের ভাবনার সাথে মিলে যাচ্ছে। এই বইয়ে যেমন পেলাম শিক্ষক আন্দোলন।
বই সম্পর্কে বলতে গেলে লেখকের কথা বলার প্রয়োজন। সাহিত্যের শব্দশৈলী অসম্ভব সুন্দর। সুহান রিজওয়ান ভাইয়ের রিভিউ পড়লেই ভালো লাগে। পার্বত্য চট্টগ্রাম নিয়ে অধিকাংশের সাথে আমার মত না মিললেও লেখকের সাথে মিলল, এজন্যও পক্ষপাতদুষ্ট হতে পারি।

এই বইয়ের সমস্যা টা বুঝতে পারিনাই প্রথমে। ভাবছিলাম জাজমেন্ট এ ভুল হচ্ছে, চনোর্কি শেষ করার পর এক্সপেকটেশন হাই হয়ে গেছে। এতক্ষনে বুঝলাম সমস্যা কোথায়।
হিন্দু পুরাণ এর রেফারেন্স নিয়ে লেখা বই, কাহিনীর প্রয়োজনে অনেক চরিত্র আসবে। তাই স্টোরির বিল্ড আপ আস্তে ধীরে করা উচিৎ ছিল। ১৯৬০ সালের পর ১৫৯০ এরপর ১৯৭০ - নন লিনিয়ার গল্প হচ্ছে সমস্যা নেই তাতে, কিন্তু প্রতিটা অধ্যায় কেমন হেয়ালি আর তাড়াহুড়া করে শেষ করা- খণ্ড খণ্ড রূপকথার মত

টাইটেল এ 'শিব' আছে তাই অনার্য দেবের মত 'কিছু একটা' আশা করছি। রাইটিং স্টাইল টা কেমন জানি লাগল, মনে হচ্ছে মনোযোগ ধরে রাখতে আলাদা মনোযোগ দিতে হবে 😂

Multiple character point of view is very intriguing

It is a big book with little font and line gap. But the interesting fact whatever book I choose randomly, it turns out to be referenced with historical citations. There is a chronology in the epilogue.

Last year I watched the movie "A man called OTTO"- based on this book. So I know the story pretty much. Thanks Nazah for suggesting it because it was on my wish list but I forgot. Relatable book as much as the movie.
