I don't read YA much these days, but this story opens with a BANG and it's written (so far) so well! Def intrigued and glad I'm giving it a chance.

I JUST LOVE A GOTHIC SETTING AND ATMOSPHERE BEYOND ALL REASON

Okay I need them to talk to each other. I'm not even an outright miscommunication trope hater because I hate talking about my feelings. But like........come tf on. We're STILL ON THIS?? This far into the book?? With the other plot line going on??

Dealing with heavy shit in my real life, so naturally I'm picking up a small town romantic suspense to dissociate with.

I normally can get behind the dynamic at play here, but this just did a Very Triggering Thing for me, and now I'm taking a break...lol

If Elizabeth Stephens writes it, I'm gonna read it

I've ruined my sleep schedule over a book once again. The narcolepsy is gonna get me~~~

Gay monsters for pride~~

"Funny how much race matters until it doesn't."

This is ...dare I say, TOO messy??

This is fun and silly but I can't decide if it's bridging serious + silly very well or not yet.

wait is this where my love of dark romance started LMAOOOOO

Honestly?? Very invested in whatever is happening here. Loving it.

Confirmed: I shouldn't wait too long in between books because I absolutely enjoy them more when I still have some of the threads from prior stories in my brain.

I'm sorry, I can, will, and do suspend my disbelief for a LOT of things, to the point of idiocy really,...but you want me to believe these kids from PHILLY planned a spring break trip to GULF SHORES, ALABAMA??? Of all the beaches LMFAO.

I bought Airpeen by Holly Wilde to play Which is Weirder

This got traditionally published?! Let's see more sentient object romance get picked up then, RANDOM HOUSE

Calling this a "romantasy" when it is honestly more along the lines of what we called "urban fantasy" in the 2000s is going to ruin this for a lot of people.

Screaming, hollering, HOWLING because this is RUINING MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is going to ruin me isn't it

Thanks to the author for the ARC! I am loving this so far!!

Having to pace myself because I wasn't prepared for the emotional turmoil

HES A CONSENT KING

ARC sent to me by the author in exchange for an honest review.
