I'm still liking the story but it does perhaps feel a little tedious and maybe a tad formulaic. I mean don't ask me, I'm just a pleb, and I'm in it for the duration anyway.

The unfolding events are entertaining and interesting but I would gladly ditch all the back-stories and dreams and flashbacks etc...

Suitably intrigued at this point.

This story is so fkn good. I just didn't realise it was part of a series until I came over here to mark it as started, oops. But oh, well. I'm definitely going to do this series, *checks calendar,* yeah - this year for sure.

Found the start a bit meh, but I'm actually enjoying this one more than the first one now.

Book 3 was feeling a bit stuck on one planet but now we're back on the quadrail chasing clues up and down the carriages.

After a good, strong opening the story falls flat on its face, when Hamilton decides to resurrect Al Capone and make him invincible. Hard eyeroll.

I will have spent more time listening to this book (41hrs) than working (40.5hrs) over the last week. And at times it has felt like work, too. I'm up to the good (scifi) end of this story today, at last.
