I'm not enjoying this as much as the first one. It feels all over the place.

My reading goal for 2018 will be 152 books. This will include 52 novels and 100 mangas/graphic novels.

I've finished! Now to think about this star rating...

so... this is pretty good... I'm surprisingly enjoying it.

WOW! the short story BLOW UP was exceptional! man, so good!

I just finished reading "Letter to a Young Lady in Paris"
WTF?! it's was so bizarre and then turns incredibly sad and heartbreaking. I really enjoyed it.

These stories are strange. I like strange.

without trying to give spoilers.... this revelation is questionable/bizarre (but intriguing enough to see where it goes) and there's not as much dancing as in the very beginning

the previous story I just read is basically tentacle hentai...

the writing style is ANNOYING AF! UGH! within each story, the author uses the pronoun of the character at the beginning of so many sentences. it's repetitive!

Michael is updating his status. He is on Goodreads. He listens to music. He writes his thoughts on a book. He logs off the app now.

I was confused at first but now I GET it and what Saunders is doing. I like the format.

Simply, INCREDIBLE. One of the best books I've ever had the pleasure to read. I'm learning so much and I KNOW it's already impacting me on a personal level. This book is really opening my eyes and making me put a perspective on the relationships I have with friends, families, co workers, and strangers. I can't wait to finish it and do a full on review.

I'm almost finished.... and I want to DNF this. I'm not liking it.

Starting this February, I've been reading a short story every day. I fell majorly behind in May but I'M FINALLY CAUGHT UP! YAY!

LMAO! THERE'S A CHARACTER THAT LOOKS LIKE MIYAZAKI! IT'S SPOT ON!

I thought this was a short story collection... but it's not. lol.

this last story is hard to get through because I'm not really enjoying it.

this is beautifully drawn! I can't wait to see it as an anime.

this is a hard book to rate....

this is just.... not good. I can't wait for it to be over.

Superassassin

This was a really surprising story. The way the story takes a turn, similar to a superhero story the main character admires, made it really fascinating and disturbing at the same time. My favorite story from the collection so far.

The View from Culion

This was disappointing. I understood the symbolisms/messages/meaning behind the superficial story but as I read more of these stories, I'm seeing that the writing style is very simple. It more telling with the smallest amount of showing.

Felix Starro

This story was not that bad. Just simply okay. The story of Felix's determination to gain citizenship is interesting especially once he starts considering the consequences.

THE BROTHERS

I REALLY enjoyed this story. Without giving too much away, it's about a family dealing with a family members transition. There are interesting moments how the story unfolds. It really shows the mindset of traditionally minded Filipinos and how they view the LGBT community. I liked how the theme of siblings plays a double meaning throughout the story. I wanted more.

MONSTRESS

This is the first short story. It showed the common dream of a lot of Filipinos that overseas (especially the US) is the aspiration to immigrate/get jobs. The theme comparisons of the creature feature movie and this couple's relationship/dreams/hopes is nice.
