Slow going, but I'm loving it! Not surprising giving who the author is. Also, it's low key making me want to reread Dracula. I aim to have this completed within the next day or so, at least before Friday.

Idk if I'm truly following the story here, but I thought it fitting as the premise seemed a bit relevant to current times in this country. I kinda knew this was gonna make me think, but I didn't know to this extent. Similarly to Solomon's The Deep, this book is definitely not one I can really bust out in a day. I just hope the messaging actually sinks in for me.

Pretty sure this is gonna be an eyeball read even though I have the audiobook. I dont remember a single thing from the OG trilogy and there's a lot going on already that I need to focus. Plus Darrow's narrator kinda lulls me to sleep(in a good way).

This is really really good. Im very intrigued. One of the characters has my name though--even spelled the same which is a bit weird. But im still enjoying it.

It's terribly cliche, yet...I want to smack every single one of them. Also yes, I'm convinced that Poppy is not actually Poppy.

I was a little intimidated at this almost 600 page contemporary sports romance but..im not hating it. Ana Huang surely has her...writing template, but this is at least a bit more digestible than the billionaire ones at the moment. Asher is still loaded, but it's different (job instead of name/connections). Pretty sure I can get this done in one more session if I hunker down. Right now it's time for a break.

I normally detest insta-love type stories but at this moment in time, it seems to be working for me. However it's the fact that theyre already falling for each other before the fake wedding even happens, like yikes. Relating a lot to Natalie though as someone who just wants to be ✨️seen✨️ but scared at the same time.

I was not anticipating him falling first though..and he's falling hard.

I don't really quite know what to make of this so far, but I'm enjoying it and intrigued. Not a lot is happening, but something *did* happen. I want to know what. I suspect that Hank succumbed to madness and killed a lot of the researchers, and then Dom killed him to save the others, like the story that Orly said about Carver.

Do I stay up all night for the next 5 hours and finish this? Probably not, but only because I desperately need to sleep as it is. Tomorrow though, tomorrow I shall put this duology to an end. So far it's a high 3. I'm enjoying it but... like i'm not... invested, you know? I DO want to see who Xingyin ends up with though. I'm hoping it's Wenzhi, but I'm fairly positive Liwei is endgame. Prince Yanming! :'(((
