I haven’t read such obvious insta-lust in a long time, so that threw me off. But I’ve seen nothing but glowing, 6-star reviews, so I kept reading and I’m having a decent time so far. Hoping for a smidge of plot, and more character development.

HATE whatever is going on with Patro and Achilles. I don’t want this to be a why-choose with them at this point. I am perfectly fine with her staying with Augustus and Karen 😂

Now I see why no one likes Tem 😭 I liked her for the first time…15 pages of this? Ever since then? Insufferable. Dare I say she’s worse than Diem. For what its worth, I am enjoying this. But I’m not sure how they’ve become each others life, love, and reason for breathing in less than 200 pages smh

Finally hooked

I definitely see why this is compared to TOG so often. Scarlett is so annoying, and I don’t like reading about her pushing everyone away, and demanding answers constantly. But I am really enjoying the world building and all of the side characters. There is enough intrigue to keep me engaged. I went into this pretty much blind, so I’m excited to see where its going to go from here

Kind of boring, but a good pallet cleanser, and easy to fly through

The writing and dialogue in this one is a lot better than “Hate” the only other book I’ve read by her. I can’t tell if this is supposed to be another “why choose” series by her or not by I like Heath the best so far, just hate the name “Heathcliff” 😭

I think I like the FMC in BoH better, and I can definitely see that she’s grown as an author since releasing this series, BUT this is still really fun and fast paced and I’m invested right away, the same way I was when I read BoH.

Okay fine the audiobook is as good as everyone says it is 😭 I’ve gotta be honest when I say I wasn’t expecting much, but it’s actually funny and I like the characters so far

I’m losing steammmm, the writing is killing me 😭 everything just feels ridiculous w Wren and Cross

Same thoughts as before - writing is still a little clunky, but it’s fun and keeping me engaged

I was on the struggle bus at first, the writing wasn’t working for me. I felt like there weren’t enough descriptors and couldn’t picture anything, like what the landscape, or even what our main character looked like. We’re dropped in the middle of this world and left to trust that things will be explained. It picked up around 10-15% for me and is going better now

I am sooo obsessed. Not 100% sold on Callum tho and “Blake” is the worst name for a hero ever ugh

It took a second to warm up and the drama is never ending, but I loooooveeee the prose
