Just when I thought an author couldn’t get any better, Elsie Silver proved me wrong…in a genre of which I’ve never been a huge fan.
Colour me educated!

I tried. I persevered. I pressed on, but, for now, this is a DNF. The seemingly endless dialogue tags were just too much of a distraction. Pity, because I suspect this would otherwise have been an enjoyable read.

Only 16% into the story and the incessant dialogue tags have derailed my connection with the characters. Will persevere, because I want to enjoy this book, but GBBL is leaning dangerously close to a DNF.

So far the plot is compelling, the characters engaging, and the writing exquisite. Absolute joy to read.

I'm trying really hard to like this book but where has the Christine Feehan of the early Carpathian books gone? Please, please give her back...

High Octane stuff.

Not sure this book is supposed to be hilarious, but it is. Laugh out loud funny, which is kind of disconcerting given the seriousness of the plot line. Outrageously good, or outrageously inappropriate, can't decide.
