One of the best written pieces of literature i have ever read. Who knew fanfiction could be something so marvellous. This is the first time in YEARS that i am positively devouring a book. Breathing it in. Falling asleep and dreaming about it. My kindle hasn’t left my side since i began this book. 5/5 and i am not even done reading. Sheesh!

Susan’s character development has my head reeling. Weldon’s words flow like a hot knife through butter. There’s no better way of explaining this. What a personality!!!!

Weldon doesn’t let you breathe!! Every line is a bomb 🔥 such multidimensional commentaries on feminism and ageism and body image issues, all in one breath, and more. What a ride.

Non stop gender bashing. Not one moment to breathe. The amount of gender overturning material it has in just 50 pages makes me wonder how this is not a part of our university syllabi. Masterpiece of discourse and commentary on ugly truths about gender roles that leave you cringing hard and utterly disturbed and wholly uncomfortable. Beautiful ✨

My heart is in tatters, this book is so so beautiful. Sure way to break my heart: mother-daughter dynamic.

Ahhh the book is growing on me. I had forgotten what it felt to read something simple, for my own pleasure, something that wouldn’t fill my head with theories and far fetched connections to archaic literature, something that gives true pleasure to the senses upon the very first reading. I am enjoying this adventure very much. What a beautiful, albeit a slightly fast paced narrative. Enthralling. Enchanting.
