I went into this just wanting a queer book short enough to repair my broken adhd attention span and boy oh boy do I have things to say about this. Gastonia??? GASTONIA???? I know this is a smut book with like one tiddlywink of plot but could we not have found a better name? it's pretty clear what role she has, perhaps the name should have been Gertrude or something. 😭

I rarely identify with a character as much as I identify with Effie.

I've cried twice already because of how awesome it is to see someone like me represented in a book like this. I'm not disabled in the same way that Effie is, but, as a deaf person, I've experienced a lot of accessibility issues and struggled with speaking up for myself, just like Effie. This book is so well written, and I truly connect with the characters. Can't wait to read more!

I want so desperately to like this book but Logan, one of the two MCs, is a whiney little b*tch and it's exhausting to read. but nevertheless, I read on because this book is SO promising and so many people seem to like it.

loving this so far! there's one or two issues I'll mention in my final review but so far there's not any fatal flaws.

This has a certain.... homophobic flavor to it.
