I rarely identify with a character as much as I identify with Effie.

I've cried twice already because of how awesome it is to see someone like me represented in a book like this. I'm not disabled in the same way that Effie is, but, as a deaf person, I've experienced a lot of accessibility issues and struggled with speaking up for myself, just like Effie. This book is so well written, and I truly connect with the characters. Can't wait to read more!
