Just realized this is a trilogy, and book 2 isn't out yet. Will be pausing until at least next year

This is book 1 in the series, but so far, the first 3 chapters are reading like we're being dropped into an already in progress story. It's irritating

I'm pretty sure this is going to be a DNF. I HATE the fmc and just don't see that changing.

Ugh, book has a main character being trafficked.

The actual couple are finally together (not together together, just in the same vicinity and current timeline)

Almost a quarter of the way through, and I cannot stress how much I hate these characters and the story! Heroine has spent this whole time in an affair with a married man who is not the Hero. Not sure it can be overcome.

Pausing, because I'm just not feeling it right now.

Knew immediately in chapter 1 that this narration was gonna be a problem. Not sure I'll be able to finish by audio.

Gods, this is so good!

I don't know that this is anything special, but it sure is making me happy to read it 😊
