Just started this book and it’s been such a great start so far! Really have high hopes for this one. Thank you for the publisher for sending an early copy.

Set the ambitious goal to read 150 books in 2019 because I like to live in stress and kind of missed doing a challenge in 2018. I’m sure in 2020 I’ll go back to ignoring Goodreads, but for now I’m back!

Halfway through and not loving it yet 😣

Started this book on an impulse. I’m almost halfway through (it’s a quick read, despite the difficult content) and I have mixed feelings about it.

I’m some 50 pages away from the ending and I’m not sure how I feel about Ailsa? I want to justify her frequent tactlessness to life before her heart transplant (she did spend all her life sick), but then I feel being a patient should have made her more sensitive towards the people in her life. I don’t know how I feel about this character but I’m still invested in finding out how the story ends!

Okay, so I'm finally picking this up after having it on my shelf for at least a year. I think it's safe to read it now because it feels like the hype around this book has receded a bit (Every 4th or 5th post on Instagram is no longer this book).

I've only read a few pages so far and I can tell this will be a fast paced domestic thriller with lots of alcohol-induced unreliability.
I wonder if I will like it?!

First of all, the cover is so quirky and gorgeous! And secondly, I just realised this is a pretty slim novel at only 262 pages.

I'm completely loving this book, which is a huge relief because I adored Sloan's debut MR PENUMBRA'S 24 HOUR BOOKSTORE.

Don't wait for my review, read this now if you loved his debut!

I. Can't. Stop. Reading!! So many twists 😳

Oh gosh, I'm loving this book so much. The pacing is perfect - the plot unravels realistically. The magical element is intriguing; it's a force that is shaping the characters and their world, almost pushing it's way in gradually to be more of a presence with the absences (or disappearances) that it creates. I also like the lead, Aila, and the Shakespearean references and all the mystery that surrounds Sterling.

So immersive! I'm in the third section and I'd love to continue reading but I'm so sleepy 😥

I haven't read historical fiction in a while so it's refreshing to read this. I'm intrigued by the women in this story, although the time jumps and historical references are slowing me down a bit. I'd listened to a NYRB podcast with the author and I was so intrigued — really glad I'm finally reading this ☺️

I stayed up all night to read ACOMAF and I don't regret it because it's just a million times better than the first - SO much better. 😳😳😳😳

I'm basically freaking out because I have a little over a 100 pages left and I want to keep reading but I'm so damn sleepy.

At this stage the world building is moving towards being wicked! When people said this book would be better, I hadn't realized just how right they were 🌸

First of all, is it even LEGAL to have such a heavy book with such RAZOR SHARP edges?! I've literally injured my fingers holding this book. BLOOD HAS BEEN LOST, PEOPLE.

Second, can Tamlin PLEASE stop forcing Feyre to wear dresses 🙄 Makes me cringe 😒

Third, I haven't read much yet but I'm already liking the writing more in this one!

Taking my time reading this so I can let every word sink in. This is such a beautifully written novel! It's the multi-generational story of a Palestinian family, starting 1967. ❤️

Just started this book! I love it when books start with a glossary and family tree 🙊I'm fascinated by neanderthals so this book that alternates between the last family of Neanderthals and a modern day archaeologist who is working on newly found Neanderthal remains. So so excited to see how these narratives align 😍😳

While I wish the rebellion plot was more original, I'm loving the characters 😍 I love the fun escape that these books have become for me ❤️

Who is your favourite character? I kinda love Iko and Thorne 🙊

My god. This book is so massive and heavy but sooo fun to read.
