I’m some 50 pages away from the ending and I’m not sure how I feel about Ailsa? I want to justify her frequent tactlessness to life before her heart transplant (she did spend all her life sick), but then I feel being a patient should have made her more sensitive towards the people in her life. I don’t know how I feel about this character but I’m still invested in finding out how the story ends!
