Kind of all over the place but it’s okay.

I’m really enjoying this.

I don’t know if I can finish this.

- everyone has magic swords that choose you. Why? Dunno.
- FMC hates MMC because one time he was real mean. What happened? Idk we haven’t been told yet and it’s 200 pages in
- FMC gets a fancy dragon and then promptly loses it. WHAT WAS THE POINT
- FMC has silver lines on her skin. Why? Dunno but she wears sleeves to cover them and constantly whines that it’s hot

I’m really struggling with this. The underlying story is interesting but no one warned me this was literary fiction which I CANNOT STAND. There’s ties to modern classism, the Cambodian genocide etc. Ugh I just want the time travel. And the purple prose?! Quit it.

Great so far aside from the slave/master relationship. Honestly though, argue at the wall. It’s working here.

This series has been kind of unique. The dick MMC seems to not be the end goal. Thank goodness.
