i’ve only started reading this book a few days ago and I cannot put it down. It is taking everything in me not to abandon my responsibilities for today and to finish reading for another 150 pages.

There are certain stories that come to me so suddenly. Like, early in the morning, hours after the day has officially ended and I think I know what I’m about to write, until the story changes at the last minute when the one hit the pad.

“A person was like a city. You couldn't let a few less desirable parts put you off the whole. There may be bits you don't like, a few dodgy side streets and suburbs, but the good stuff makes it worth it.”

That’s one way of looking at it.

I wonder why the books in the library are green… representative of having a prosperous life regardless of how one may have reached that point in their life?

I know that this is a very cute festive book, but the play-by-play of every ounce of movement such as: “I fill the lid to the rim… I raise the lid/cup up to her is she sips it…”. This is just poor writing to me….

🪄⚡️ “I need to recapture that magic I had when I wrote this book. I hate to admit that Merle is correct, and I’m missing it. I’m missing my spark.”

The step-by-step minutiae descriptions are becoming a bit much…
