There is something weird about the sudden fantasy story shift which spoiled the book for me a bit. But the tone of the book is consistent and still readable.

This book feels like an existential fiction, which it might very well be, rather than a science fiction. I grew up watching a lot of animes. This book reminds me of animes a lot. There exists a relationship between a boy and a girl so complex and weird that only those two can understand at first, but later it all makes sense.

The characters are Animeish(Is that a word?) but begs us to take them seriously.

Scary how much the same strategy politicians use now to scare people with fake news was done at 1898 when there is no way to fact check news paper stories.

Daniels seems to be king of fake news.

The second half of the book gives me the vibes of “ Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine” book.
