Now I know what people mean when they say they enjoyed every second of a book. Because literally every second, every page, is a blessing. I love diving into this setting. Love the plot. The characters. It’s THAT good.

Finally got the physical copy! Love me a good introduction pre literary masterpiece. I‘m sooooo ready to geek out on this one. (The introduction recommends keeping a character map, a timeline for major events and diagram with symbolism motifs…that’s sooo up my alley. My inner LIT-student feels seen.)

This book is surprisingly amusing…? And why is Ulciscor lowkey hot? Indol, Emissa and the third girl seem to be a chaotic pack - I love that.
Why did I expect this book to be serious and dry? Probably bc it’s written by a man. And gives off dune vibes somehow. ANYWAYS, I‘m really enjoying it - can’t wait for Vis to start the Academy!

Some things like not knowing that being in the seventh heaven is a metaphor do not make any sense. Also, the way no woman cares for that child annoys me and seems highly unrealistic.
