DNF at 45%. The rating until this point would be 2☆.

Many action scenes and scene descriptions that evoke little emotion, which is a shame because I was enjoying the MC so far. It's a quest type of book, and I misread the synopsis for something else that would be way more up my alley. Unfortunately, it failed hard to capture my interest. Didn't care for the other characters either.

The author clearly is knowledgeable on Greek mythology and is a good writer. But the storytelling isn't good. There are many moments of action taking place that get lost by the overly description and the predominance of "telling" instead of "showing". Also, the characters are uninteresting. I like the MC enough, but he is wrapped on such boring a narrative and surrounded by shallow characters that he lost on me.

i reallyyyy don't care. dragging this one. romantasy is just not for me, i don't feel anything. it would be more interesting if they both dropped dead instead.

I'm going to Part Two now, and I'm losing interest. There's action, but it's hard to care about and also to keep up with it. I do like Ty (MC), but I'm definitely not sold on the insta-love trope being done here

At least he hasn't been described as "beautiful", "hot" or something in between. He's described as odd looking for a vampire which is funny...

If this Rhain guy (stupid name btw) is the love interest... he annoyed me already. Purely from the fact because he's so obviously written to look interesting.

Ok, I have no basis for what I'm about to say: if the killer ends up being the benefactor that attracted them all to the island and paid them the "vacation", it'll be disappointing.

Obviously, it will have to do with those two criminal plonkers that appeared at the beginning to threaten Jack and Claudia because if they don't.. then their characters are insignificant and shouldn't have appeared in the first place.

That prologue was a very interesting beginning. The author is slowly introducing us to the world which also feels nice and smooth.

And this is about fatherly love! Between the vampire ruler and the MC that was adopted by him. Which makes me concerned for Vincent (the dad)...

It's hard to distinguish and memorize these characters' names. The author should insist more on the descriptions of them until it's enough to get it memorized. It also adds to the confusion that these many characters are introduced with both first and last names, and the author consistently refers to them by both... I don't remember who was [insert random last name]. Stick with one or insist on the description.
