Tone/Style feels a little unusual for what I normally read but also seems to fit the time period. So far, not a lot of women in this story, nor do I anticipate them having any kind of significant role. We’ll see if it passes the Bechdel test. I’m not holding my breath.

As someone who only encounters children on a rare basis I fully support them being little Mary Sues of cuteness.

I need Ali Hazelwood to just turn out vampire/werewolf/human romances nonstop for the next five to ten years. Thank you.

So witty, so fun! This book is the equivalent of eating Halloween candy as a kid. Just pure joy the whole time.

I think I hate the narrator for Nora. Listening on 1.5 speed now.

It’s getting more tedious.

Not a bad book, but not very captivating. At least not thus far. It’s sort of like, there’s not really any mystery because we as the reader already sort of know what has happened. And it just makes me angry that this could happen.

I love how real Rainbow’s people are. Like, these aren’t just upper middle class suburbia or inner city artsy. They feel more hometown America, sometimes a little, sometimes a lot rough around the edges. People, not just polished figurines.

I do not like people like Shiloh. Never have. Live your life now, not putting feelings and relationships off or downgrading them with comparison to some imaginary future where you’ll actually start living. Just the worst.

Rainbow makes you want to visit Nebraska, to love Nebraska. It’s incredible.

Started another book, got 5% in and it was just not my vibe right now. This, however, very much is. Loving it so far!
