Just realised this is part of a series… probably should have read the first two before this one… so far a bit cheesy for my liking, probably would have been better to read around Christmas when I’m in the festive ‘hallmark’ mood. Only up to Chapter 5 and I’m pretty sure I already know how it’s going to end… Will keep reading though.

Enjoyed this story - touches on lots of things I like - art, history, mystery. Found the 'acted' Australian accents in the audio book jarring though.

Interesting story so far, however listening to the audio at the same time and the Australian accents are distracting and not great.

About half way through and this is a strange book… I can see the underlying good vs evil and political/moral/cultural/etc themes, but it’s an odd one. Would love to know the how/what/why around the decision to adapt it into a musical (and then movie) because I don’t understand how someone thought it was a good idea (and then for it to be a huge success). I’ll finish the book but yes, it’s a weird one.

Frantically updating my ‘Books I Own’ shelf before I go to the book fair tomorrow and accidentally buy books I already own… I’ve done it before 🤦‍♀️

About a quarter of the way through and I’m torn between thinking is it a great novel? Or is it a very boring one?… how is that even possible… thoughts?

On a doctors recommendation I need to read a book ‘just for fun’ ... one where I’m not trying to learn something... any recommendations? I’m not a big fan of romance or crime...
