It’s more smut with plot than plot with smut.
And the only reason I’m sad/angry about that is that the author sets the book up to be a bit more plot filled than it is. There’s so many loose details and threads that simply aren’t picked up. And there could actually be a pretty decent, interesting and worthy story in it. So it’s the waste of potential that I’m mostly sad about. That’s the irritating part

By chapter 38 I became quite pissed that Ren kept switching between the two names, especially since it by then no longer was a secret. I don’t particularly like this, but my god it’s good

At 82% - this book is ripping my heart out. “Why do we read?” Apparently we like getting our emotions thrown in the wringer, and our hearts torn out and trampled on - repeatedly 🥹😭🤯

This is reminding me of a m/m version of (and you should take this as a great compliment even though I know there are very mixed feelings about there’s books) Fifty Shades of Grey/Twilight. But for me that a hard get compliment.
