Joy and gratitude are inseparable

I listened to this audiobook read by the author and felt grossed out. Not because I’m squeamish about blood or bodily functions but because the author was so crass about it.

I listened to this audiobook for awhile. The most interesting idea was that a young adult on the verge of their earth magic developing could be taught to harness the power of fire instead.

A fox family has the power to shapeshift so they pass as humans on a remote world. This girl sets out to save her brother in the space force who disappears and leaves a cryptic message behind.

Um. Wow. We had very different childhoods. The contest to see who could pee the highest was pretty memorable.

I tried to listen to this audiobook but there were so many facts that I missed while also trying to focus on doing dishes and driving. I learned about an American military doctor who was forced to brand a man for desertion and became paranoid that Irish man was going to poison him in revenge. This man ended up in an insane asylum but contributed mush to the development of the Oxford English Dictionary.

Ugh. This book started in the middle of the action and tried to explain what had happened in the past. It was confusing and didn’t develop the characters very well.

Meh. Nothing in this story made me laugh even though a friend recommending it said it was funny. Rated R for language and sex.

This book needed pictures. Pictures of before and after outfits from the stories, pictures of identifying colors in irises and skin, and pictures of the color swatches that are listed for you to choose from.

This book is ok. I don’t think I will continue reading it.

Tried reading this book, but the characters just annoyed me. There were circumstances in my life that may have made this the wrong time to read this book. I might try again in the future with my bookclub.

Too many curse words, insults, and references to piss within the first chapter. I think I’ll read something else.

Too depressing and dark for reading in the middle of winter.

There is so much fighting that there isn't much plot. I don't think I am going to finish this.

I liked the stories at the beginning. They switched to more facts and data.

The kids loved the Prankster story. I thought all the stories were weird. They tried to teach morals that I doubt my kids got.

The boy I. This book has two dads. I wasn’t ready to have that discussion with my 7 and 5 year old so I decided to read them a different book.

I was very confused by the format until I went to lookup information about the author and realized that she liked conducting interviews so each section was a different voice. The history timeline at the front was very helpful.

Pretty redundant after reading one of his other books.

Boring

This book was good! I learned some physics from it. It does take mental investment. I need to pick it up again when I can devote the brain power to it.

When I started reading this book I shared it with everyone of my friends who likes to read. I am blown away by how something as simple as how we breathe can permanently affect our health.

I have tried 5 times to breathe in for 5, hold for 5, breathe out for 10, and hold for 5, which repeated three times is very relaxing. I don’t like exercising very much, but that is the method the book recommends is the best for completing the stress cycle. It also suggests using creative skills like art or writing. I’m not convinced that there are human givers and human beings that divide along the gender line.
