Dr. Lu’s podcasts are very interesting and this book is definitely an excellent resource to find out more about our metabolism! Fantastically written and easy to make notes as I’m reading along. My goodness, I know realize that fat isn’t just a byproduct of overeating but an organ! Fascinating….

If you’re looking for a slow burn read that allows for you to become entwined in the lives of a small group of people but even more so with a creature who views life on a different level, then this is for you. Such a beautiful story!

Once I accepted the inconsistencies of the various accents, as the plot unfolded, I followed the journey of Theo savouring his self-absorbed but wounded soul to realize at the end that Alicia, like many physiologically damaged people will never recover from their own trauma because their therapists are just as damaged! Good read!

I decided to listen to the audio version of this book and so far it has a solid plot but the narrator’s accents are confusing (British accent for a Turkish woman) and inconsistent when multiple characters are speaking..

Enjoying this so far. Appreciate Jodi’s attention to detail in describing the Kingdoms.
