I never thought it possible to enjoy a single perspective read this much! It's like reading the leading lady's diary but in such an endearing way! Plus can we take a moment for how Mr. Hill is fleshed out by the author? I'm so surprised at how much I've come to like him without having his perspective and thoughts written out. ...What a sweet beautiful story. Definitely going to be a re-read

Augh I never knew I would take to a story set in the Scottish hills this enjoyably. I have nothing against the Scottish, it's just that I don't know much about the culture so I kept pushing this book aside thinking I would be absolutely lost. But Miss Martha Keyes was like "Hold my purse, give me my pen!" hahahaha All I can say is I'm thoroughly being transported & I'm not mad at it one bit! Scotland, I'm glad I came

Always here for a "both perspectives" read!!! I love that we get to be in the minds of both main characters!!-who I both absolutely love! Also really love that it's the Duke shaping the flow of the narrative. He is an engaging character to get to know. Having a treat of a time with this so far.

Such a lovely start to this one. The interaction and progression between the lead characters thus far is adorably hilarious!! Marlow thus far has a cutie patootieness about him that makes me smile! I find myself looking forward to his pages. I'm still getting to know Miranda though. Patiently waiting for her to be fleshed out a little more. I just hope that this stays lovely and hilarious all the way to the end!

I want to know a lot more about Nick. The story is almost over and I feel as though our hero isn't as fleshed out as is necessary in order for me to root for him. There is room though for us to glean a little more if the writer takes that opening that is available at this point and transports us there. I think he is a lovely guy and we need to explore that a little bit more. Please don't fail me miss writer.

Mmmmhh nothing does it for me like a clean regency period romance!! Sprinkle on top with some marvelously transporting beautiful descriptive writing and you have me quietly sat in a corner like a child with her favorite toy hahaha This is so well done. Mister Gardiner is my favorite kind of geek-gentle, determined, unwavering. I am but in the middle of the story but so far so good. So glad I picked this up

The writing and descriptions are so vivid and cleverly written making it easy to be pulled into the scene, but done in such away as to not make the mind tired. Your eyes just joyfully role through the pages. You don't even realise just how quickly you inhale a page! I'm only at the beginning as I have just started but I really appreciate how it is clever without being exhausting!! Yes and yes!

Pastor Jack's inner thoughts are killing me!! He is so adorable!! Can't wait to see how he navigates the fine line between duty and dating! His story really tickles me!! ...I'm also so glad this is light and warm as opposed to heavy and weighty. I also love that I learn so much about faith and life as I read! This is why Christian lit will always be a favorite for me! Loving it

"I didn't realize, back then, that faith that is never tested isn't true faith at all." Geesje
Imagine reading this quote while going through some wild faith testing of your own! I tell you God brought this book in my life at just the right time!!

The killer is someone I really didn't expect! I kind of suspected them a little for a minute but then I quickly took them off the list. They looked too obvious to be them! hahaha I think this is a good literary tactic? ...hahaha Now let's see why they did it...

Hahaha this book is good fun! Its a little cliche here and there but its still charming and enjoyable. Stormi and her mum are all kinds of ridiculous with their antics but yet so real. They seem like actual real people who I'd meet if I went to Oak Meadows right now. I love that. About it being Christian lit...as a Christian there a things that made me go "hmm, I don't think Jesus would agree with the inclusion"

Hahaha well Stevens is so hilariously detailed! He definitely knows how to relay a story- in EXTREME detail!! He has me laughing every time he starts to tell of an experience. Proper yes, but adorably awkward at the same time! Every times he speak I can literally imagine him being uncomfortable and awkward while maintaining propriety. A true "gentleman's gentleman" indeed. Pretty great start to the book.
