End of Part I. Alyona Ivanovna dead. Lizaveta Ivanovna dead.

Not sure if it was worth my time to read the forward here. But oh well, I did it at any rate. First chapter was good.

Just finished part I. Lots of references to In Cold Blood by Truman Capote, which I used to really admire, but then after reading Furious Hours by Casey Cep I lost some of my admiration for. I get it though, I can see the comparison. It’s a good book so far, it’s just such a senseless tragedy.

Oh my, Barclay MacQueen.

This Barclay MacQueen feller, he seems like he’s not quite on the up and up if you catch my drift. I guess it’s kind of a no-brainer if it’s the only way to the dream of flying, but I suppose that’s kind of the point right? Like what kind of deal with the devil is required to get what you want in life, and is it worth it?

It’s definitely good, above average no doubt. I like both plot lines, and I’m intrigued about how they end up connecting.
