Wow what a wild fucking ride

It’s a bit slow so far but they just made it to the island. I know it’s YA so I’m giving it time to marinate in my mind before deciding if I like it.

Finished the first section for book club and boy oh boy I like this so far. I called the secret princess bit but the magic was a shocker. I’m excited to hear more.

The prose is so lovely and I know there’s something more going on with her new fisher husband. I love them already.

This is perfection. I love the characters and the background of her creating Kaz is truly lovely. The audiobook narration is superb

Home stretch for book club. I’m loving this so much and some of the things ive predicted are semi-true. So that’s a major plus. I can see where this is going

I went into this blind, just seeing the gothic looking manor on the cover. I'm so happy I snagged the audio on netgalley, the performance is phenomenal. I actually got chills at one point - i'm a little shook but i love the paranormal here, mainly with alex being a "certified skeptic".

Feeling a bit hot & cold about this. I like the idea, but I think there’s some wonky pacing and the characters are very stereotypical and flat.

But that said, the most interesting character is Ferris. Partially because I don’t trust he’s JUST human. There’s more to this man
