I’m enraged by the main character. I think the twists and turns are about to start!

Decent so far.

Her writing is truly captivating! The first chapter has so much emotion.

I lost complete interest at 80%. What the hell? Possessed taxidermy? This just got ridiculous. Kept going. 89% isn’t much better. But at least we are on the willow world now and not earth.

*** Spoiler *** They found their way back home at 50% from the willow world? It was perfectly creepy, and I was not ready for them to leave it. I hope there is a good twist coming up.

Absolutely entranced by her writing style, as usual.

I can’t even believe how many twists, turns, and surprises were in the first 30%! There have been even more after!

I’ve never had a book choke me up with tears at 8%. Holy sh*t.

Odd. I do not like that each chapter rotates between 5 people. The writing isn’t whimsical at all. It is bland, much like a middle school elementary paper, if not worse. The writing from the protagonist point of view could be done better as well. The idea of preying on children to murder them is unsettling, and somehow boring here. This could end up on the DNF list.

If you like old folk tales, this is the book for you! I did not see this one coming. Nor did I expect it to get this unsettling. 👀

This book seamlessly continues from the first one. I’m disappointed that the book is as short as it is. I’m worried the ending will be rushed, but the story is building well.

Another book I could just live in! I know this was released only last month… but can we get a hint if there will be another?!

Okay, I’m crying. I understand why 20% of the book was character building. Honestly, I was getting annoyed by it, but I couldn’t help but love them. This is the first heartbreak, but I think the secrets are about to be explained!

A lot of character and relationship building so far. I’m still in love with the characters. I think we might be getting to the main plot. I actually haven’t read the synopsis to this book.

The first couple of chapters have a lot of character building. I’m at chapter 5 now, there is starting to be some kind of mild climax.

My heart beats over the shared love for Radar between Charlie and Mr. Bowditch.
